The Property Law Reform Alliance

The Property Law Reform Alliance (the 'Alliance') is a coalition of legal and industry associations committed to bring about uniformity and the reform of property law and procedures in Australia.

The purpose of such a goal is to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness for all stakeholders in property law transactions.

The Alliance aims to achieve this outcome through discussions with government and the development of a uniform Torrens Title Act, which will establish leading practices for possible adoption by States and Territories.

The Case for Property Law Reform

Developing a Model

The Alliance's major goal is the development of a uniform Torrens Title Act. 

This would outline leading practice regulation and ideas for possible adoption by State and Territory jurisdictions.
